6: The Falcon

This is a statue on my university campus.  This was another exercise in PP for me, to take an other wise drab, boring picture with an ugly, slightly over blown sky and try to draw the attention to the statue.

My only problem, as one can see, is the lovely (not!) building sprouting out of his wings and head.

Anyways, my take on trying to 'spice up' a picture.

Cool...it's good to test yourself with subjects like this! :)

Was all of that done with Dodge and burn? I kind of like the effect. Take that building out and youve got a great study there.

The statue definitely pops out at you. If you don't want to get rid of the building due to referential integrity, just blur it out until it looks like a blob.

Nice job with the post-processing.

I actually like the building at the back, it kindof gives the feeling of old and new...and the old (statue) standing out the element of time. But thats just me. Great post-processing!
