14: Winter Comfort

Well, had a few problems on Saturday. I actually had this ready to go in the early evening, and then experienced phone line difficulties.

This was taken in the country, where the only access is dial-up, and while setting up the computer, I manages to plug the phone line into the LAN input instead of the phone input. This was not figured out until Sunday afternoon. Thus, this Saturday post went up Sunday.

Nothing like putting your feet up with a glass of wine in front of the fire when it is -35 with windchill outside.

Sunday's PAD will be posted when I get back to high speed :-)

Cheers!

13: Taking Aim

Ooops, 11.11pm, and no picture in sight!  Taken from a performance I shot in August.  I like how I accidently got a bit of the person's head behind the blocks.

I'd just had my Rebel for about two months, and was still getting used to it.  Taken with my friends borrowed 70-200 2.8 lens.

12: Equus

I shot for one of school papers tonight.  One of my school's theater companies mounted Equus.  Actually quite impressed with this one.  Well acted and well staged, in my opnion.

Anyways, this is part of the set, as well as part of the costumes of the actors who represented the horses

I liked the DOF on this, and decided to off center it to make it a bit more interesting.

Cheers!

11: Uhm, Duckie, I think Cartman Doesn't Like Us

Having fun with my humble setup.  Large piece of black paper, light from my ceiling, RAW adjustments, and Neat Image.  Oh, levels and curves, too.

Needed something in a pinch, and I have a feeling you will get to see more of my random collection of oddities around the house.

I love South Park, even though I don't watch it nearly as much as I'd like, too.  And everyone met Froggie and Duckie on Jan 1st.  If you didn't, you can go take a look

Cheers!

^$&@#(!$

The title is what it is because I got dressed up, set my camera on a tripod, went outside and did some long exposure shots. I thought I'd copied them, so I erased the card. Turns out, I didn't! So, being annoyed, I'm uploading an old photo instead of going out and reshooting.

From this summer. My friends and I love a summer night by the fire, and this is the result

Cheers!

9: Recharge

Well, I was decided I was going to study tonight. I thought, ok, run off a PAD quickly, and then check my DP Challange scores and then off to the books. Well, the forums have been quite actuive, so it's been a while since I was suppose to be hitting the books :-)

This picture was an exercise in macro, DOF, and textures. Shot at 1600, so a run through Neat Image was needed, thus the slight plastic look to it.

Boring, mundane, sorry.

Now, off to the books. Really!

8: *Challenge entry*

Edit: Hum, to all who have seen my entry already, I humbly apologize, and feel free to vote me down or skip me, or whatever. I have, with a little encouragement, decided to resubmit my picture. I will repost after the challange is done, next week.

In my description, I'd made a resolution to give up shooting for DPC,shoot for myself, and develop a thick skin to the DNMC folks who simply don't see things as I do. However, I'm a little tired of feeling the need to fend for myself because I didn't adhere to everyone else's interpretation of the description (or lack there of). End Rant. Sorry about that.

Well, the above isn't on the description anymore, but I thought I'd leave it here :D
